Quit being a narcissistic supporter for your loved one with cancer or other terminal diseases. It is not about you. You will not be blessed with the right thing to say. Your religion and beliefs do not matter. Why do your words, about my sickness, need to make you feel better? They don’t make me feel better.

Shut the F up and just hug me if I am a hugger. Cry with me when I need to cry. Tell me you’re am sorry and that is the ONLY sentence I need to hear from you. I need you to listen but I don’t need you to talk me through it.

DONT’T tell me about every other cancer surviving or death story you have heard. I don’t want to hear those either. 

I am in shock and denial and I am mad. The words will not help and if you need my sickness to be about you then please do not come visit me.
